A proper neighbourhood of homes and shops in a new urban park
A place for the whole community
Manor Road Quarter will be a proper neighbourhood. We're creating 804 sustainable 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes for all sorts of families, 50% of which will be affordable, available at London Affordable Rent or for sale via Shared Ownership. There will be space for businesses and shops to serve the growing community, all built around a 2.9 acre new park.

Highlights
Making a (social) impact
Directly opposite the underground and bus stations, Manor Road is really well connected and highly sustainable. The buildings will have vegetated blue roofs, that safely capture storm water run-off. Alongside the new public park, they will provide a habitat for local wildlife and increase biodiversity.
Sustainability built in
We’re raising the green bar at Manor Road – we’re aiming for a 64% carbon emissions reduction compared to building regulations targets. We are also targeting Net Zero Emissions in operation through the procurement of renewable energy.
Community conversations
We have listened to the community of Canning Town, engaging with local people, community groups and representatives throughout the project. We’ve had four community conversations in the neighbourhood centre and have also gathered lots of helpful feedback through a dedicated website and email address.
Skills and training
We’re committed to providing employment and training opportunities for local people. The construction has already involved many members of the local community, young and old, allowing them to upskill and helping create many new opportunities for others.
