Working with our partners at Millbay, we’ve transformed Plymouth’s historic docks from a derelict, brownfield site into a spectacular waterfront community and destination.

A real neighbourhood

At Millbay, we’ve created a real place to call home, with a sense of place and a unique character,  and all the things a community needs to thrive.

Highlights

More than bricks and mortar

There are homes for first time buyers, families and down sizers. We created the first new marina in the city in 75 years, and a 1,000 pupil School of Creative Arts, that puts culture right at the heart of the regeneration.

A world-class destination

Millbay is now a vibrant new neighbourhood, attracting international sporting events, welcoming the spectacular Sail GP two years in a row.

Local understanding, nationwide expertise

What works in an inner-city urban area, is not necessarily going to work in an historic port city like Plymouth. We took the time to understand the local area, to listen to local people and to respond to what the community really needed and wanted.

The result is a distinctly ‘Plymouth’ place, of character and design, that knits Millbay seamlessly into the wider city environment.
