Plans for 263 new one, two and three-bedroom apartments on Peru Street in Salford have been approved.

This next stage of Adelphi Village will deliver 151 homes across two five- and six-storey buildings, situated across from the 185 apartments approved as part of Farmer Norton Phase 2.

The plans also include a further 112 affordable, Passivhaus apartments mirroring those nearing completion at Willohaus.

Adelphi Village is the main residential area of the £2.5bn, 240-acre Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by our ECF partnership with Homes England and L&G, alongside Salford City Council and the University of Salford.

Benefiting from the first wave of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) £1bn Good Growth Fund, Adelphi Village has been awarded £23.4m for 336 new homes, most for social and affordable rent.

Designed by Buttress Architects, the new homes will be accompanied by trees, planting and outdoor space, alongside cycle parking to encourage active, sustainable travel.

Work is expected to begin on site this summer.

Steve Thomas, Senior Development Manager at ECF, said:

“With Willohaus set to complete this summer and work beginning on Farmer Norton, approval for the next stage of homes in Adelphi Village is a positive step as momentum builds across the Crescent Salford masterplan.

These apartments, and the wider Adelphi Village, will not just deliver much-needed, high-quality homes but also create a new, sustainable, inclusive neighbourhood for the people of Salford.”

Adelphi Village is just one aspect of the Crescent Salford masterplan, which will deliver more than 3,000 new homes, state-of-the-art facilities, enhanced green spaces and improved infrastructure to create a vibrant place for people to live, work, study and thrive.
