PODCAST: Eden – Creating a “greenprint” for sustainable buildings

09.08.23 2 min read by Phil Marsden

Listen as Phil Marsden joins Bianca Spoeala and Simon Wyatt from Cundall and Stuart Fraser from Make Architects to discuss the vision behind Eden, and how it’s now creating a ‘greenprint’ for sustainable workplaces.

Eden is ECF’s latest workplace at New Bailey in Salford. Featuring Europe’s largest living wall, it’s been designed using the 2030-2035 UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) operational energy targets and has achieved a NABERS Design Reviewed Target rating of 5.5 stars – the highest rating for a new build in the UK.

New Bailey is part of the wider £1bn, 50-acre Salford Central masterplan being delivered by ECF , our joint venture Legal & General and Homes England.

Eden has been the talk of the built environment community in recent months, and is setting new standards for sustainable commercial development.

Listen to the podcast to learn all about Eden’s journey so far, and find out more about its concept, design and sustainable credentials.
