Green light for ECF’s new homes in Salford

Progress is accelerating in Salford, thanks to our development partnership, ECF , with the latest phase of homes next to the highly successful Novella, given the green light from Salford City Council’s planning committee, which will deliver an additional 196 stunning homes for rent on the banks of the River Irwell.

The new building, which will stretch to 22 storeys, is the 11th phase of homes within the £1bn, Salford Central masterplan and will include a rooftop residents’ lounge, ground floor amenities, such as a gym and wellness suite, designed to enhance resident wellbeing, something that ECF is passionate about creating within its places. Residents will also benefit from a full management and concierge service.

Beautifully-crafted public spaces will also be created for the whole community to enjoy.

Stuart Rogers, projects director, said:

We’re excited to reach the latest milestone within the masterplan and receive approval for the latest phase of homes.”
Since 2013, we’ve been delivering at scale and pace with our partners and we’re delighted to add another building to the ever-expanding Salford skyline. Our work at Salford Central development is truly mixed-use, and our aim is that this new place will bring further diversity to this already vibrant and growing community here.”

Construction is due to start in early 2023.

Salford Central is being delivered by ECF, our joint venture with Legal & General and Homes England. Together, we’re delivering some of the most complex and successful urban regeneration projects across England and are looking to create further partnerships following our decision to extend the life of the partnership to 2036.
